my hero's are not gaining experience. im using them to farm and in the arena. I've not done any dungeon stuff lately but I should be gaining exp through the other stuff shouldnt I? does one gain exp for heros when someone attacks me?

What's the point of the town hall, obviously it's the main source of upgrading. To upgrade your town you need to upgrade the town hall. But I'm relation to fighting others will damaging their town hall do anything. More experience etc?
