I really like my Thunder God, even more than Pumpkin Duke.
He is great for raids and dungeon (as everyone said), and with the lightening skill, he can take out a whole army camp easily.
im in the same boat. i have enough for tg, but am waiting to see if necromancer, pirate, or minotaur are better, and available via shards. its killing me because i have 4 lowest legends between level 78 and 94, and i am using a level 60 executioner with 1/5 slowdown.
what?????????? he is BOSS in dungeons and on raids.... ya not usin him well or don't have him leveled up yet ... he is really good once he is over 80 and 3/9
ThunderGod is Awesome. Also I REALLY don't think new heroes will be available via Shards anymore.
IGG know now how much money they can make on a new hero being available via gems only
Look at Pumpkin Duke and how much have people spent to get him
I can but gems on this....
But its your choice
Totally agree, mine is still lvl 74 and 3/9, and honestly insane!
I think somebody was dropped on their head as a baby.............
I bought Thunder God with shards and had the same concerns (wait for a new hero, or get TG). Anyhow, I think he's pretty good, but I'd definitely tip my cap to Druid, but the combo TG-Druid is insane in raids, especially with a supped up Paladin to tank.
Since getting TG - I've learned how to farm shards better, and now get 100-150+ day if I play somewhat regularly (run D4S2 exclusively right now) - although to be fair TG doesn't really influence the success of those runs (likely because he's still under leveled relative to my other Legends) - the combo that you need for D4S2 is Druid-Paladin. Anyhow - you have no idea how long it will take for the new heroes to come out, you have no idea what they'll do, and you have no idea if they'll be available via shards (they could end up being another Ice Demon). I'd get TG (or another legendary that you don't have), and just keep harvesting shards - if a new Legendary emerges that you can get with shards - chances are you can be half way, if not better, to getting him when he comes out.
