So drop him in...and end?  You get EXP that way?  I thought you needed to finish the battle and EXP  ...

That explains why I have had people raid me, take out only my Town Hall and leave.  My arrow towers didn't used to shoot there.  Must have been them leveling up.  LOL

When I raid and have HB, I don't leave. I 100% to get the full amount of exp. When I have very little HB, then I continually leave. I also only send out my Druid + troops first, then drop my Hero I'm leveling after all the threats have been taken care of for the most part. This way the exp split isn't huge, but I only do this while I wait for my dungeon runs to refresh.

2nd dungeon in Dungeon 3 is what I use to level Heroes; it gives 800+ exp, 6HB, and 4 shards. I can usually run through it with 80+ level 5 archers.

And this also answers the question of "power leveling with 0 HB".
Since you lose HB when you quit and lose a raid, the best way to continuously raid someone to earn exp and not give them the shield is to have 0 hb.
That way you wouldn't lose anything at all if you quit before any heroes die.

Thanks.  Only bummer doing this is loss of troops takes forever to re-train if you go in with high level troops.  Lower level kill off by single high level hero easily.  But it's all a trade off.  I too do the dungeons whenever possible, will have to play around to find a sweet spot.

Yeah, if you use higher level troops it can take 30+ mins to re-hire. That's the reason I use level 5 archers, since I can hire a large amount and it only takes several minutes to re-hire all of them. You just have to find a good spot to spawn them in the higher level dungeons so they won't all get wiped out before the run ends.

What wait. So if your hero dies before Dungeon/Raid is finished that specific hero doesn't get any EXP?

I'm under the assumption that all heroes deployed during a battle irrespective if they survived or died will get an equal share of the total EXP gained. Though I'd have to verify this, I'll do a raid now...
