If by "spell" you mean talent then Revitalize gives you bonus starting energy and Berserker gives you increased attack speed which kinda helps with spell procs as well. My SM currently has 4/5 revitalize, starting with 80% energy and i couldnt be happier.

Must be killer in Arena.

Yes, Revitalize and Berserk are your best bets for talents. Revitalize being more Arena based whereas Berserk is all around for raids/Arena.

No, I don't mean talent, there's a spell that people use on him that causes him to take damage and proc faster.

I believe its Guardian Angel judging from SandSeven's video.
Makes your SM invincible so he could take hits and proc like crazy.
There is a risk though.
IF he does not kill the agressors by the time GA ends, the SM will die almost immediately.

No, I've seen it in Battle Reports, I assume it's snowstorm by the look of it. Snowstorm does friendly damage as well and people use it on their own Spirit Mage while it's on TH so he proc's faster.

If snowstorm does friendly damage then its both of them together.
I've relooked at his videos and yes, cast them both on the SM to dish out his procs like a machine gun.
