for me... I use dungeons for:

1> shards
2> Hero exp

I prefer not to 50% a dungeon and waste a lot of the exp you would get if you 100% it.

If you don't care about the exp .. and more interested in the shards themselves.... 51% is usually sufficient.  

As we have said for a long time.... it is RANDOM.  People do 10 runs... or 30 runs in a day and make some determination on the percentages based on their results.  If you really want an average.... your sample size should be much much bigger to get a more accurate average.

I get shards on 51% .. I get 'em on 100%.  I cannot say it is more or less over time.

I ~51% farm D4s2 for shards.
I have not noticed any substantial difference in the rate opposed to when I 100% other dungeons.

I can say confidently that the increase from D3S1 (6 shards) to D4S2 (15 shards) is worth the small uncertainty.

Assuming the drop rate is consistent across all dungeons, for every drop you would get in D3S1, you can almost triple it with D4S2.

I just went in to D2S2 five times at 50-60% before pulling out. I got 0 shards.

5 trials is not enough to be able to discern a trend.
Try flipping a coin 6 times. Do you get a perfect split?
Probabilities show up in the long run.
You need more data before you can draw any conclusions

at 50% u also can get shards...as long as u get 1 fire
