Earlier today we've learned of the Extreme Challenge of taking down the Boss with a ridicuously high 48,000,000 HP. Sure there are enticing rewards for the top players who deal the most DMG to the boss (1000, 2000, 3000 HB), but do we really know HOW MUCH it would take to bring down this boss?

I got curious and crunched some calculations on how (or the better question is: how much) a guild can defeat the boss:

Let's assume a guild with a minimum of 30 members.
Each member has 5 legendaries, with an average DMG = 2000 and HP = 15000
For each crack at the boss with DMG = 6000 and HP = 48,000,000:
Hero 1: Reduce the boss HP by 6000 (3 hits) before getting killed
Hero 2: Reduce the boss HP by 12000 (6 hits) before getting killed
Hero 3: Reduce the boss HP by 18000 (9 hits) before getting killed
Hero 4: Reduce the boss HP by 24000 (12 hits) before getting killed
Hero 5: Reduce the boss HP by 30000 (15 hits) before getting killed
TOTAL Reduction of Boss HP after 1 round = - 90000 HP

Without reviving the heroes, each player can only have 2 cracks for the 30 mins. duration of the boss battle, so they could deal -180,000 HP.

For a guild with minimum 30 members: 30 x 180,000 HP = 5,400,000 HP (which is way below the target 48,000,000 HP of the boss).

So how in the CC realm can the guild defeat this boss?


To succesfully defeat the boss, each member requires at least 18 revivals to achieve the target 48,000,000 HP:
90000HP x 18 revivals x 30 members = 48,600,000 HP

In terms of gems, 18 revivals for 5 heroes is: 5 heroes x 10 gems x 18 revivals = 900 gems!

Think about it, is 3000 HB worth spending 900 gems for?

1. The sample calculation does not take into account the special abilities of heroes that may grant them more DMG dealt (berserk, 5/5 revitalize for DMG skills, war god).
2. This only accounts for 1 set of 5-legendaries. Some players may have another batch of legendaries or high level elites, but a high number of hero revivals is still needed to take down the boss.
3. Of course, having more members will help in taking down the boss, but even if you double the member count to 60, you still need 9 revivals for each member which roughly translates to 450 gems!

Again, I pose the question: Is 2000-3000 HB worth spending gems for?


Let's say one player has 15 heroes (assuming a very conservative 2000 DMG and 15000 HP for each hero)

Hero 1: -6000 HP (3 hits) before dying
Hero 2: -12000 HP (6 hits) before dying
Hero 3: -18000 HP (9 hits) before dying
Hero 4: -24000 HP (12 hits) before dying
Hero 15: -180000 HP (90 hits) before dying
TOTAL BOSS HP REDUCTION for one round using 15 heroes = 720,000 HP

Without hero revival = 1,386,000 HP x 2 = 1,440,000 HP for 2 rounds within 30 mins.

30 members x 1,440,000 HP = 43,200,000 HP (5M+ short of the target 48,000,000 HP)

The boss battle is a feature that will die fast unless igg makes it easier either though using less shards to participate or lowering the hp. I just dont see tbe point of even doing it for 3k hb. Sure, the first few days people will be excited as hell to try it out but believe me, in 2 weeks time no way in hell people are as likely to participate in it

Now that I made the calculation, I'm not even excited about this boss battle. I think I just exposed the Boss Battle disguised as a way to FORCE players to spend gems to complete an extremely difficult task.

So my advice to players: THINK, THINK, THINK. Is 2000-3000 HB worth spending gems for?

Sorry IGG, but I just exposed the major flaw of the Boss Battle even without it being implemented yet. Unless you significantly lower down the HP of the boss to realistic achievable levels, then this feature would go down the drain with uninterested members who are not willing to spend any gems just to get HB. ;P

Unless igg wants to add sone exp to go along with it then i see no point sacrificing 5 of your heroed to die and time will be wasted waiting for respawn which can be used to do dungeons/raids

there shoukd be rewards for beating him. shards gems exp hb.  if ppl get hb anyway for losing. might as well just lose w a level 1 hero. 50 shards for top 10 to get hb is pretty good

i think it's too early for make this calcs...btw it looks like you got the point...except u consider Glory>money.
