[Guides] Berserk Talent Level Speed Increase Calculations For All Hero ATK Speeds

My head was exploding trying to figure out the affect that my newly rolled Berserk 5/5 talent would have on my different heroes. So I put together a little spreadsheet and now it is all in one place and I can see clearly where to put my new talent.

I hope I didn't mess it up by not understanding something (please let me know if I blew it - I'll share my formulas with anyone who wants to know the details :cwy:). If my calculations are correct, a few things become apparent.

  • Leveling up to 8/8 Berserk will only help 1000 ms Heroes, 7/8 is good enough for most.
  • 5/8 doesn't help any hero in and of itself, other than its higher than 4/8. Don't switch out your 4/8 for a 5/8 unless you intend to level up the 5/8 to a 7/8 or 8/8.
  • The 600 ms heroes (aka Skull Knight) will only benefit from a 7/8
  • The 750 ms heroes (aka Grizzly Reaper) will only benefit from a 4/8
  • The 1500 and 2000 ms heroes get 3 ATK SPD bumps, while everyone else gets 2 or less


Of course this doesn't take into account PD's Celebrate skill. It's just the base calculation.

Edit 2015/10/05: Ignore the rest, everything is cleared out by exludesalnic in next post.
Although I think they are a bit off. For example, a 1000ms with 1/8 Zerk (10% spd boost) should go down at 900ms, not 909.09.

Here's the spreadsheet I'm using:
Green values are the points of improvement.


In sum, 
600ms improve with 6/8(400) and 8/8(200)
750 and 800ms improve with 4/8(600) and 7/8(400)
900ms improve with 2/8(800), 6/8(600) and 8/8(400)
1000ms improve with 3/8(800), 6/8(600) and 8/8(400)
1200ms improve with 3/8(1000), 6/8(800), 7/8(600) and 8/8(400)
1500ms improve with 1/8(1400), 3/8(1200), 6/8(1000), 7/8(800) and 8/8(600)
2000ms improve with 1/8(1800), 3/8(1600), 4/8(1400), 6/8(1200), 7/8(1000) and 8/8(600)

Sure enough, with a PD in your team all the calculations go out of the window :p

Sorry c-zoo, but you've made a common mistake when calculating Berserk.

The formula for attack rate is: base attack rate divided by attack speed boost. For normal heroes with 3/5 zerk we get 1000/1.2=833.33, not 800. Attack speed increase is not the equivalent of attack rate decrease.

was sad that ATK speed rounded for each 200ms. Is it right 833.33ms to round up to 1000ms or round doun to 800??!
