Just list some facts for arena fighting, may keep updating. Welcome to any suggestions and corrections.

1. Three routes are of equal length.

2. At each starting point, you may fine tune the formation within a small circle. The difference is about 1 second between two ends of the circle. Here are just a few examples about how to utilize this

For shrine attacking DPS, always put to the front of the circle.
For hero with self destruction, put it to the front and move others a little back, so it may explode first and damge all memebers of opponents team.
For hero that need time to charge, like champion, more it a little back, so he won't die first and can freeze enemies.
To do a head to head attack, pleace fast moving heros to the back, so all heros can start fighting at around the same time.

3. Time to cross the field is 2800/ Mov Spd

4. There is buff on HP for heroes in arena.
HP in arena = 2 * base HP  (talents are effective)

5. Shrine's HP is related only to hero's HP, the relationship is
Shrine HP = 4 * Total base HP of all heros on battlefield  (talents are not effective)

This relationship indicates there is a tradeoff between HP and DPS. If we have a single hero fighting in arena, It's not always the one with higher DMG wins, it's the one who has higher product of HP and DMG wins.

Based on this, we can calculate another index called shrine index to take into account of both HP and DMG
Shrine index = Hero real DMG to shrine * Hero HP
The higher this index, the higher the chance to win in attacking shrine. This index is included in one column of the stats calculator.

Nice review!

One question: skill dmg such as the one from spirit mage are affected by dmg recuction talent and skills? (like paladin) Or is it only normal attacks?

Thanks Gazelle.

Haven't fought arena for two days, getting a little tired to lvl them up :)

I remember once paladin's shield is on, it reduces all kinds of damage, normal attacks, skill or talent attacks.

Correct me if I was wrong.

I guess you're right I'm asking that cause I dont use paladin much.

Although since I got spirit mage I've started to love raiding once again, so I'm thinking about leveling my pal to lvl 100 now cause he's clearly better than champion for raids.

He's not essential for arena even though he give a nice hp bonus to the shrine, because my champion has a better dmg output compare to the paladin's hp. (and a nice stun)
