I had a ton of trouble here the first few attempts, but it's been a while since I have tried it. That's a beautiful line to take into this dungeon. I'll probably be here till all heroes are 6 stars and then some. 15 Shard drops are awesome. That means I need 70k in scacrafice xp to level up some abilities, and this is the place.

I went a bit overboard on the magic, but I didn't want lose my entire army like every other time, I've played this dungeon.

The 2nd try proved:

pali 89 1/5 war god
druid 79 2/5 berserk
TG 65 4/5 self destruct
assasin 91 4/5 revive
ninja 93 3/5 revitalize

GA level 4
restoration level 5
ares fervor level 5

Rigth now doing the D3S1, most of the time without losses, even without magic

any advice, or just wait till some more level up?

This made my day. Thank you Sand. I went through a lot of trial and error with pathing in that dungeon to find that one. I am really glad that it has helped you and with your videos I know it will help countless other players. Thank you again.

I usually run the upper right corner of D4:S2.  Basically, I drop Paladin + Druid + Thor + whatever else hero I'm trying to level in the upper right corner.  

I don't worry about the Werewolf, because he doesn't do much damage.  As soon as the Cyclopes engages I put down Guardian Angle spell (if your lucky, you will get both the panda and cyclopes to engage at the same time).   While Guardian Angle is up, I start deploying my Gryphons (level3).  They mop up whatever is left.  I then just wait until I'm above 50% and end battle.  I usually have very few loses, but sometimes a hero will go off on a retarded path and die.  I think the most I've ever lost is 1-2 heroes and a few gryphons.

The main drawback to this strat is that it requires a Guardian Angel every attempt.  Also Having Restoration isn't a bad idea as a backup.  I tried using Restoration in place of Guardian Angel, but my heroes weren't high enough and I kept losing them.  

Heroes I'm using are as follows: Druid level 85, Paladin level 71, Thor level 59, SM level 83, Champ level 73, and assorted marksman level 1-50 (mainly for leveling up for garrisons).  I always use Thor+Druid+Paladin and then the other 2 spots are rotated frequently.  And of corse 50 level 3 Gryphons.

It would be nice to 100% this dungeon, but with my heroes and level 3 gryphons it's not feasible.  Yes, I have 100% it before, but it costs to many heroes and troops to farm this consistently.  I've found little difference in whether you 50% a dungeon or 100% it, in regards to shard drops.  

Hope this helps some of you.

So I usually shoot for 50% and get no casualty pretty much every time. Of course I use spells, GA lvl 4 and Restoration lvl 5. If I go for a 100% I lose 1-3 heroes and some griffins. Here is the crappy setup I use:

48 lvl 3 griffins
91 Druid 1/5 Revive
80 Ninja 1/5 Revive
74 Champ 1/5 Revive
60 Executioner 2/5 Revive
80 Pali 2/5 Revitalize

I start off from the top right corner. Deploy Druid to take out 2 arrow towers and the mana/gold mine. And once he destroys the first wall I deploy Pali (to make sure he tanks the 3 heroes). As soon as they make through the wall I deploy the other three heroes and cast restoration. If you see druid jumps in faster than Pali you will need to use GA instead of restoration. After you kill the 3 heros you can easily make it to the town hall without too much trouble. When the assassin spots you, it is the time to use GA and deploy your griffins. When you reach 50% just end the battle. I value this way much better than doing 100% every time with tremendous (if occasional) hero & troop losses.

but, how many tries did you normally do? and of those how many are a success in giving shards?
