So in my guild I ask questions often, and when I ask for a talent or insignia on a certain hero, they specifically recommend *blank* as an insignia or *blank* as a talent. My question is, what's the difference? Is a lvl 7 insignia weaker than it's lvl 7 talent counterpart?

Insignias have a small buff over crests and are easier to apply to your heroes.

No. Ability is same, only difference is that Insignia provide additional stat bonus, which you can see on that insignia, and you can change it on different insignia anytime you want.

Generally when they tell you to use revitalize as an insignia instead of a talent its because revitalize only goes to level 5 and the talent spot can go to level 8, insignias can go to 7.

Sounds confusing the way i said it but you wouldnt fill a talent spot with a talent that can only go to level 5, thats basically what i was saying.

For instance you wouldnt have revite 5 talent on PD with regen 5-7 insignia, instead you would have 8/8 regenerate in the talent spot with the revite 5 as a crest or insignia (of course you wouldnt use these exact talents on pd) but thats basically the gist of it.
