When one's heroes all passed level 80 or 100, you may find that it takes longer to level up heroes than to collect HB. At this point, you will want to convert the surplus HB to slimes for skill exp. There are in fact two ways to convert HB to exp, here is a detailed comparison between the two routes to help you choose the most efficient way to use HB. 1. First way from HB to skill exp: hiring heroes from HB From the thread "Hiring Heroes With HBs, Stats and Odds", the conversion rate from one roll using HB to skill exp can be estimated to be One roll using HB = 116.3 exp (roughly exp of a green slime) Using the data from the same thread, we can compile the following conversion rate table
Now explain a little bit about the table Number of rolls = number of rolls using HB in one day. Total HB = total amount of HB spent for corresponding rolls. Marginal HB = HB spent for the last roll. Total Exp = total amount of exp got for correspoinding rolls = 116.3 * number of rolls Total conversion rate = Total Exp / Total HB Marginal conversion rate = 116 / Marginal HB The important value here is the marginal conversion rate. It means that for the last roll how much exp we can get per HB. 2. Second way from HB to skill exp: through leveling up heroes Another way to convert HB to exp is to use HB to upgrade heroes first, then consume high upgraded hero to get additonal exp. This method is especially important when consuming purple heroes. We all know each lvl 1 purple hero will provide 2000 exp, and if one consume the same type of hero, the exp will double to 4000. This is what most people do when getting additional legendary heroes, that is, comsuing them using the same type of heroes. However, if you level up the hero to two star, it will provide 5000 exp in total, which means you used 1000 HB and get additional 1000 skill exp. This is a very good conversion rate if you compare it to the direct method. So how about upgrade heroes further to higher levels? The following table summarized the result for consuming the same type of legendary heroes.
In the above table Hero star = what it means in word, 2 star hero is at least level 20, 3 star is level 40 etc. Total Exp = total exp gained from cosuming the same type of legendary heroes. Exp from upgrade = Total Exp - 4000 = bonus exp gained from upgrading heroes Marginal Exp from upgrade = Exp gained from last upgrade to a certain star (eg, for 3 star, this value is 3000-1000 = 2000) Total HB = total HB used to upgrade a hero to a certain star Marginal HB = HB used for tha last upgrade to a certain star Total conversion rate = Exp from upgrade / Total HB Marginal conversion rate = Marginal Exp from upgrade / Marginal HB Marginal rate 2 = marginal rate / 2 = rate for consuming different type of legendary hero marginal rate 3 = marginal rate / 10 = rate for consuming same type of elite hero marginal rate 4 = marginal rate / 20 = rate for consuming different type of elite hero Here the important values are these marginal rates, the meaning is similar to that in method 1. It means in the last upgrade to a certain star, how much exp one can get per HB. 3. Conclusion To use HB most efficiently, the basic idea is to choose a method with highest marginal conversion rate. Example 1: One has 15.5k HB to spend to level up a Ninja's skill, there is also a spare level 1 Ninja, what should we do? Answer: Compare the marginal rates from the two methods, we should upgrade Level 1 Ninja first to level 60 (4 stars), because all the marginal rate 1, 0.67, 0.3 for star 2,3 and 4 are better than the direct marginal rate at 0.23. So to fully utilize HB, what we should do is to level Ninja to 4 star using 14k HB, then use 1100 HB to draw 2 heroes, then we are left with 400 HB. Example 2: Suppose we stayed in top 10 for one day, and collected 20k HB to use for upgrading skills of a high level Assassin. For simplicity, suppose we have infinite number of level 1 assassins from gem rolls. If we need to spend all the HB in one day, what should we do this time? Answer: Compare the marginal rate 3 of the second method to the marginal rate of first method. We should do the following to maximize skill Exp: Use HB to draw hero 8 times, and the marginal rate drops to 0.1 for drawing hero directly. The remaining HB should be all spent to upgrade lvl 1 assassins. Because we assume we have infinite number of assassins to dispose, the best way then is to level all assassins to level 20 (2 star) then comsuing them. The lowest marginal rate is 0.1 in this case. The above examples serves to illustrate how to utilize the two tables. In reality, when one has a spare purple hero to consume and has some additional HB to use, it's almost always better to level up the hero to at least 40 before consuming. It won't take a long time to train hero, and will give your high level hero additional 3000 exp. However, it may be too time consuming to upgrade further past level 40. |
