why is it not 1000ms with 3/5 zerk is 800ms? Why is this simple math wrong? 20% reduction should be a 20% reduction. 1000ms to 800ms, 800ms to 640ms round back up to 800ms, 1200ms to 960ms back up to 1000ms, 1500ms to 1200ms.

So the number listed next to the slashing blade is ATK RATE? and the ATK SPD mentioned in the talent is not the same thing? What a bunch of asd;lkfjasl;dfjas;lkfjal;sdkjl!

What is atk speed measured in - hits/second or seconds/hit - obviously the first one. A hero with 1000 ms atk rate has atk speed equal to 1 hit/second.
Berzerk 3/5 says: "Increases atk spd by 20%."
So, 1 hit/second becomes (1 hit/s + 20% * 1 hit/s = 1.2 hit/s). Now, in what interval will the hero make an attack? Now we need the seconds needed for a hit, or seconds/hit, which is equal to 1/(hit/seconds) - the reciprocal of seconds/hit.
1/(1,2 hit/s) = 0.833 s/hit, or 833 miliseconds/hit. Now that the attack speed is rounded up to the nearest higher number divisible by 200, 844 becomes 1000. Hope that explains everything.

It shouldn't round twice.

So your Champ attack speed will be as follows:

no Celebrate --> 1000/1.3 = 769 = 800
Celebrate x1 --> 1000/(1.4*1.3) = 549 = 600
Celebrate x2 --> 1000/(1.4*1.4*1.3) = 392 = 400

It will change things somewhat, but only because it makes it possible for PD to reach more stacks than he otherwise would without Zerk.

At any given celebrate stack number, the results will be the same, but a Zerk PD may be able to reach 4-5 stacks in boss fights reliably while a non/low zerk PD may not.  Or you may have more uptime with double stacks in raids or HBM, which could certainly help other heroes with low zerk reach the breakpoints more often.

It gets pretty impossible to calculate that kind of up-time anywhere outside of boss fights though.

glad I rolled those 3/5 zerks on my pd, tg, and finally got a 2/5 on my champ as well. And I've been working my tail off to get 7/9 on PD.

Are any of these talents any good with my pd just 6/9 vs 7/9? damn it all, IGG, way to throw more of my money away.

IF 1500 atk rate doesn't exist in the game anymore, why do my characters still have it in game like mino, atlanticore, pally? Totally misleading. No wonder IGG keeps shutting down these threads. Can't have anyone know they are intentionally misleading us.

Except that a paladin with 1/5 berserk will have a 1400 ms atk rate. If his base atk rate was 1600, the same talent wouldn't have made any difference. GR attacks at 800 ms, a buff from pd 5/9 will make him attack at 600 ms because all buffs are applied to base atk rate (750/1.3<600). A ninja won't get faster from that same buff (800/1.3>600).

IGG's developers are a bunch of incompetent monkeys. They don't test. If it works apparently, it's good enough for release. See base editor, hero trials, and now this attack speed change. I assume, they just raised the time granularity to cope with some problems they were unable to solve at 100ms frame rate. Give it double the time and you are good! NOT!

So does this mean Revit is the better buy? there use to be 2 camps on PD talents, now it seems the zerk side has packed up and left. Does this make revit more viable in the short game, raids, arena, and zerk better off in HBM and boss. Perhaps this was the intention all along? give it a more defined purpose rather then end all be all?

Sorry just a tad annoyed like everyone else. hoping for some logical explanation for it after all this time. Being F2P things like this take months to recover from if you are lucky. Ignoring the months wasted before hand.

Excellent guide, other than GR advice.  Berserk on GR is much better than movement speed, imo.  What good is reaching the enemy heroes faster only to die to them because you don't attack/heal as frequently once engaged/taking damage from them?  Whether moving or attacking faster, he'll get around the same amount of hits off in a raid, but once engaged with enemy heroes he will hit them faster before they kill him.  Flying units don't need to move as fast to reach the enemy and the attack speed will make much more impact.  

Revive is always nice, but berserk = more healing.  More healing = you don't die as much.  True, it is slightly worse after the attack speed rounding nerf- with 1 stack of celebrate, I think it puts it at 1 attack every 600ms instead of 1 per 500ms.  I'd say it goes berserk > life drain > war god/bulwark/sprint (as war god and bulwark atk increase effects his healing it's not bad).  The only reason to go for sprint is if you are trying to compete in top 100 of arena.  not recommended =) and revit might be better for that anyway.
